Ceylon Graphene Technologies Press Conference was held on 6th of February 2020 at the Hilton Residence Colombo to introduce the company’s striving research & developments to the country.
Heminda Jayaweera, COO of Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC), Udaya De Silva, Director of Geological Survey & Mines Bureau and Kithsiri Gunawardena, Director of LOLC Advanced Technologies joined the panel with CGT’s CEO & Director Manju Gunawardana in explaining how CGT has opened new vistas of opportunity for the local Graphite industry. Each member of the panel portrayed how Graphene as the highest value adding product of locally mined Vein Graphite (the unique mineral resource of Sri Lanka) could contribute to the success in future technology and also uplifting country’s economy.
CGT also showcased their latest products and projects, conveying that the company has grown tremendously over the past one and a half years. Applications such as; battery, water purification, anticorrosion paints, polymer composites are only some of the projects CGT has successfully accomplished. Extensive research and developments are in progress.
