Ceylon Graphene Technologies, LOLC Advanced Technologies and Gridtential Energy Inc. announced their collaboration on prototyping lead batteries with the combined advantages of Silicon Joule bipolar silicon plates and AltaLAB GX on 23rd June 2020. Initial studies show that the combination of these elements will lead to higher performing batteries in energy density, charging rates and cycle life.
AltaLAB GX Graphene based battery additive is produced from Sri Lankan vein graphite. Enhanced design of the AltaLAB GX graphene additive mainly focused on improving lead acid battery performance. AltaLAB GX graphene-based additive is typically added to negative & positive electrode paste in loadings that range from 0.2-0.3 wt%, loading will be varied within the range according to the required performance enhancement.
