Graphene has a two-dimensional structure of a carbonaceous new material. Graphene has excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. Graphene oxide (GO) is a unique material with various oxygen containing functionalities such as epoxide, carbonyl, carboxyl and hydroxyl groups. Interest in GO increased dramatically after graphene, It was initially hoped that GO might be a synthetic precursor to graphene.

Ceylon Graphene Technologies (CGT) is manufacturing an excellent quality highly oxidized Graphene Oxide, using proprietary method which is better than the improved Hummers method with excellent d-spacing of ̴ 9.6 to 10.0 Å for Research and Industrial use. Graphene Oxide has good solubility in water, ethanol, DMF and can be easily dispersed in polar solvents with the help of ultrasound.

Reduction Properties

CGT Graphene Oxide is capable to reduced chemically (hydrazine, NaBH4, ascorbic acid, etc.) or thermally. Raman spectrum of thermally reduced graphene in 500 oC is shown is fig.(1), I(D)/I(G) Ratio is 1.09.

CGT Material-Graphene oxide has been purified for many times, and the potassium salt is removed completely. If your application requires more specific quality control, please do not hesitate to contact us.
